Parts Manager Recognized for Heroism
James Bray, our parts manager is recognized by the Red Cross as a local hero.
James (third from left), was one of seven “real heroes” honored at a breakfast event this morning by the American Red Cross in Southwest Washington. Nearly 600 people attended the event, where the Red Cross, as part of its effort to encourage people to get first aid and other training to help respond at times of crisis, honors those who helped save the lives of others in the past year. One night last December, James helped rescue a 22-year-old driver trapped in a burning vehicle after a high-speed crash into a utility pole outside of James’ home in Vancouver, Wash. The driver is still recovering after weeks in a medically-induced coma and a number of surgeries.
As James’ boss and aunt, I am very proud of what he did and it is nice for him that his great deed has been recognized. You can read more about the rescue here: Fix Auto Portland East Employee Rescues Driver.
I raise my glass to all the hero’s,
